By the end of summer 2013, our founder CocoVinny had tried nearly every bottled and canned coconut water on the market — and decided he hated coconut water.
Then a business associate from Indonesia shared a fresh young coconut with him. One sip changed everything. The taste was nothing like what came out of a carton or a can. For the next three weeks, CocoVinny cracked open a coconut every day after the gym with a kitchen knife and a hammer.
One afternoon he broke his stepdad Bill's knife trying to get into a stubborn one. Bill was not pleased. CocoVinny went looking online and in stores for a real coconut tool — and found only cheaply made foreign products. Nothing had the quality, craftsmanship, or Made-in-USA integrity to tap his thirst.
After buying Bill a whole new knife set, CocoVinny spent the next two years in intense research and development. The result: The CocoTaps Tool Kit — the only 100% Made-in-USA, BPA-free, dishwasher-safe coconut water system, backed by a U.S. patent on a zero-waste coconut water process.
Because CocoTaps are reusable and reseal the young coconut for up to four weeks in the fridge, they cut the carbon footprint of cartons, cans, and plastic bottles that too often end up in landfills and the ocean.
From the CocoTaps invention grew the CocoLove fresh-tapped coconut water beverage line. The mission has always been simple: bring the freshest coconut water we can to as many people as possible, and do it with less waste. Great taste, less waste — one coconut at a time, for a healthier planet.
CocoLove is a phrase created by CocoVinny. To spread CocoLove means to help, hydrate, or heal. It's how our team greets, thanks, and takes care of the community we serve.

CocoLove has been built for over a decade — entirely bootstrapped, with no prior institutional capital. Featured on ABC's Shark Tank and CNBC's The Profit, the brand has grown from a founder cracking coconuts in a kitchen into a nationwide fresh-tapped coconut water business — and momentum is accelerating quarter over quarter.
When someone shows you CocoLove, it means they care. Our team cares — about quality, about our customers, and about the health of the community and planet we share. Thanks for being part of the story.
